Diary Entry forOn the Waterfront
"You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it." - Genuinely brilliant. Marlon Brando is phenomenal in this, giving a classic performance. Loved lots about this, especially the score which was magnificent. Feel like the start could’ve been slightly quicker though as it does take its time to get going. The final acts are all magnificent and this is a worthy best picture winner.

On the Waterfront
Tense, paired with a tight script and some great acting from Brando, makes On the Waterfront a truly unforgettable film. Yet another film that I have been meaning to watch for some time, but hadn’t thought to watch yet. A magnificent picture, and one that certainly is desrving of its Best Picture status.

*Bill Simmons Voice* “Are we sure Brando isn’t underrated?”
On the Waterfront
I mean, what can I say? It’s just a beautiful, incredible film.
On the Waterfront
"I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody. Instead of a bum, which is what I am." Well said, Marlon. On The Waterfront is a start-to-finish pallooza of immaculate strength. Marlon Brando in perhaps his finest role is electrifying, spitting lines with such finesse and grip. He's one compelling and hypnotizing actor. I'm in complete worship after seeing his performance astonish the crap out of me. That's how legends do their thang - and On The Waterfront is that film for Brando. GRADE: A-
