Moana 2
What a pointless sequel.
Moana 2
I thought this was going to be a lot worse than it was given that it's a sequel, but yeah this movie is meh. The new side characters are incredibly annoying and I had no idea what their names were as I watched it. Honestly, saying that they were extremely annoying is an understatement, I had no attachment to any of them. Even some of the main characters were worse; Moana or Maui were much worse this time, which is most likely because the movie gave the spotlight to these side characters that no one cares about. They even made Heihei less likable in this movie, which was a huge letdown since Heihei was my favorite part of the first Moana. However, they developed the Kakamora more and that was awesome. They easily made up for some of the flaws of this movie. They were awesome in the first movie and even better in this movie; they were easily my favorite part. The story is a bit bland. It feels like it's roughly the same movie that can be split into 6 parts and it sounds exactly like Moana 1. The lack of originality is heartbreaking, and whenever they try creating something new, it falls flat. I want to be able to say that this movie was good, but it isn't. There are enjoyable aspects, there's no denying that, but I feel like the highs don't outweigh the saddening lows. 4/10.
Moana 2
era realmente necessário fazer uma sequência? fofo, mas desnecessário
Moana 2
What was the point? After the success of the first movie, Disney executives couldn’t resist churning out a sequel (because, of course, more money!). Under studio pressure, the creators seemed to have no better idea than to recycle the same formula. Honestly, it feels like the script was written by AI. Apart from the stunning visuals and a couple of funny jokes, there’s little to praise. The dialogue is clichéd, the plot feels clunky, the characters act foolishly, and the songs are unbearably irritating. What’s worse is the looming prospect of an even more unnecessary third installment.
