It's been a while since I've watched a horror film. I know that the sequel to this everyone enjoys, but this first was absolutely insane. It's a very freaky movie. The story is confusing and convoluted. I do not understand the curse thing at all. Like is it a demon? Is it possession? How did it start? This honestly just felt like a final destination spinoff. With the death being destiny or something. I already knew some of these scenes, yet they still shocked me. Even if it makes little sense that scene towards the end was insane. Probably one of the strangiest frames I've seen in a horror film in ages. The cast is solid. I wasn't expecting to see A-Train in this. I am starting to really dislike the trauma genre of horror though. I've never really cared about "character experiences traumatic death in childhood which makes the current events crazier" trope. It feels tasteless sometimes. But this did it in an ok way. I also have started to realize how much i hate characters in horror films. Like why do none of these characters actually care about the main character lmao. The visuals looked cool. I was expecting more gore tbh. But that one scene was crazy enough. I did also like the nice atmosphere this built throughout. But it was extremely weird. Overall, a good horror movie that is a bit confusing but enjoyable.

im ngl even though i get jump scared in some parts, i was honestly laughing my ass off throughout the movie especially with the last few minutes of the movie, like how they revealed the face of the entity and how it entered rose’s body through her mouth is just so unserious 😭 also joel is so stupid bcs u know damn well she was already going to kill herself and is already killing herself and yet you still watched it happen????  anyway this have great acting all around, i just think its too long. i definitely think they could’ve told the same story with it being shorter. i really love the cinematography and the camera shots too.  ALSO I CANT BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY KILLED THE CAT, I SHOULDVE STOPPED WATCHING WHEN THAT HAPPENED.
