Visually great movie in makeup and hairstyling, production design, and cinematography. However, I was unimpressed with the acting and story of the film. It really makes me put into perspective how much better Guillermo del Toro's interpretation is on a story level (besides that one line). I thought the moment with the girl was on course to be the most redeeming quality of the film, until the scene ended and it felt like the writers had a fundamental misunderstanding of who The Monster is as a character. I was also upset that the credit was given to "Mrs. Percy C. Shelly" instead of Mary Shelly. Still a good movie at the end of the day, but so much could've been improved to have made it better.
