It’s one of those movies that sneaks up on you, balancing dark humor with some really intense and moving moments. What I love about this film is how it takes a heavy historical event and makes it feel so personal. You’re right there with this taxi driver, just trying to make a living, when he gets caught up in this incredible moment in history. The way the film shows the chaos, the fear, and the bravery of ordinary people is just so real. I was taken aback by how deeply it resonated with me, especially in the final act. The emotional investment in the characters and their stories was unexpected. This film embodies everything that makes Korean cinema so compelling—exceptional storytelling.

Quando eu pensei em assistir esse filme eu nao achei q ia ser asim..(uma obra prima coreana) um sentimento é a palavra "raw" é um filme que te deixa em carne viva, ele nao tenta deixar bonitinho, ele mostra o que aconteceu de verdade. Sim eu posso falar de como é lindo a relacao dos personagens, de como eles sao queridos, do sofrimento que eles sentiram naquele ano, do absurdo. Mas o que encantou todo mundo e me faz chorar e com razao, é a maneira q eles mostraram, começa a nao parecer um filme, mas um documentario, algo real demais, eu fiquei arrepiada com a brutalidade, com o que o ser humano pode fazer, da simplicidade que matou milhares, e o pior, é baseado em fatos reais, isso nao é sobre politica ou execito, é sobre a crueldade humana, como podem, eles só queriam salvar os feridos, mas nao importa o quao mal a gente fale ou que é inadmissível, o poder fala mais alto. A very important film that more people need to see, especially given our current geopolitical climate today. A [true] tale of unsung heroes who did what needed to be done for the good of their country; they stared authoritarianism in the face and gave it two middle fingers. This is exactly what needs to happen in the US right now, keep showing the truth that the media and our oppressive government tries to censor.
