Zack Snyder's Justice League
So this will be my longest review so far. I have reviewed each part separately as I watched them. They're each scored out of 10. This is because it took me several days to finish. At the end will be my conclusion, overall thoughts and reasons for my ratings. PROLOGUE: 8 A good start. ZS has created a dark, chilling atmosphere. It feels very bleak and depressing. Defiantly building up hype. PART 1: DON’T COUNT ON IT, BATMAN: 9 Surprisingly this was very cool. There is defiantly something about the Amazons which makes this stand out, they’re maybe my favourite part of the DC Universe. Aquaman is a bit of strange, I find him very cringy and silly. Batman’s scenes were cool, I really like the aesthetic and feel of the film. The villain feels truly unstoppable though, be interesting to see how they stop him. A very strong start. PART 2: THE AGE OF HEROES: 9: That fight scene was amazing. The old Gods/Amazons/Men fighting together against Dark Side was truly a sight to behold. It was well choreographed, and the CGI looked great. The drawing of the demon was a bit silly, and Batman hasn’t done a lot so far, really, he’s just talked lots. Hopefully in the next few parts he comes into his own. Impressive first few acts. PART 3: BELOVED MOTHER, BELOVED SON: 4 Worst part so far. Cyborgs power is so strange. His farther must literally be the cleverest man to ever walk the earth. If Batman’s superpower is being rich, then what’s Cyborgs? Cyborg has literally unlimited money, it makes no sense, it’s so stupid. It’s never explained how Cyborgs powers work, or how they were made. They just were. Also, he really hates his Dad for not coming to his football games. Like really hates him. The way he acts it’s as if his dad literally murdered his mum. It feels strange and forced. The Flash had the potential to be cool, but the cast choice was strange. Why did they have to make him a stereotypical annoying nerd? Feels like wasted potential for a cool character. Aquaman is still being mardy for some reason, it just feels strange and forced. Cyborg needs to get a grip and Aquaman needs to stop being such a baby. Batman and Wonder Woman feel like the only likable characters, and Batman has still done absolutely nothing apart from talk and drive. The only positive is Steppenwolf, he seems serious and very powerful. Interested to see what he did to betray Darkseid. PART 4: CHANGE MACHINE: 7 Better than the previous part, for sure. Flash is still annoying but at least his power is interesting. The CGI is gorgeous again. Cyborg finally got some back story on how he got his powers. Seems a bit silly to me, but still it’s better than not knowing. The underground scene was cool, Wonder Woman once again proving why she’s the best. Aquaman’s entrance was very underwhelming. He literally couldn’t stop water, even though that’s like his ability. Odd. It was okay, we finally saw Darkseid, it’ll be cool to see what happens when he comes to Earth. I’m hyped for superman returning as well, its teeing up for a very good final part. PART 5: ALL THE KING’S HORSES: 7: So, lots of good again, and some not so good. The Flash keeps making nerdy comments, I get its his character but it’s annoying. Aquaman and Batman are both useless still, hopefully in the final act they’ll do something. The scene was Lois Lane stops Superman was very emotionally and very well done. This was one of my favourite scenes so far. Looking forward to the final act. PART 6: SOMETHING DARKER: 10 Unbelievable. As good as Avengers for me. Everything about this was great. Superman’s come back, the death of Steppenwolf, all was very well done. Every character had worth in this part, Aquaman and Batman finally showed why they’re important. The Flash was very cool, no bad jokes or cringy quotes in this part, by far my favourite part of his. They were all amazing. The scene of them all stood together was fantastic, ten out of ten for this part. EPILOGUE: A FATHER TWICE OVER: 7 Really liked the first half of the epilogue, second half I had no idea what was going on. As somebody was isn’t a huge DC fan, I didn’t really get any of the references or have any idea about who the new people were. The joker was there, in a dream or alternate universe. I don’t know which though. Just seemed very muddled and out of place, maybe super fans liked it, but to me it was confusing. I appreciate that the fans would like this though, and I’m hoping for a sequel to this. Overall: Despite the average of my scores being 7.5, I'm going to round this up to a 8 out of 10. The scope of this is truly magnificent, and I was entertained throughout. Even the worst part was still entertaining, I just wish we had more explaining earlier on. As somebody who isn't a DC fan I was impressed by this. I still think there is a great imbalance to how likable the superhero's are, but that's expected. Hopefully we get a sequel to this, and hopefully Zack can do it again. I don't think he's a particularly great director, but this was very good.
Zack Snyder's Justice League
definitely a whole lot better than whedon's version! i do have a problem with it's 4 hour runtime but honestly it wasn't that bad. but idk if it's a movie that i would rewatch often.

Zack Snyder's Justice League
Strides ahead of Whedon’s edit of Justice League, Zack Snyder’s Justice League manages to make a familiar story feel so fresh, so new. These characters have life to them, life which seemed to get cut in the editor’s room for the original. A much more vibrant, well-rounded film, this cut has left me stunned. It easily is the best film within the DCEU, feeling like the first truly complete vision from this universe. It’s absolutely amazing to get to see what Snyder had originally inteded for this film, which is so, so much more than what we originally got. It will be criminal if they decide that this is not the timeline they should go with, since there is so much potential here, potential that is completely lost from the original cut. This is the Justice League that we should have gotten, and I am so glad that we have got the chance to see this stunning improvement. This is a film that I am going to be thinking about for a very long time - it left a huge impression and is a film that I cannot wait to get to watch again. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is leaps and bounds ahead of what Whedon put together, making for one hell of an entertaining 4 hours. Altogether an amazing film with so much potential for the future of the DCEU.
