Their friendship carries the film forward until only one of them is left to carry the memory.

Homebound

I'm so exhausted and sad to see the struggles of these two friends, they always have problems to achieve success, it seems this has become an international problem. I blame the police and covid for what happened to these two friends, covid really can take everything away.

It feels weird to compare it to All We Imagine As Light as they are going for two different ideas yet both do showcase India from a more realistic perspective  While it does take time to get to the story like AWIAL, once it gets there it becomes riveting and I was swept up by these characters, the acting and the direction. My one major complaint is they do directly tell you the issue I guess for a mainstream appeal, but idk I would prefer to just have it be like AWAIL, having more thematic scenes to drive the story. Like its there but they still need to tell me oh this is person is this or that person is that. Honestly, thats really for the 1st half. The 2nd half becomes a lot better

It’s one of those films that will break you down. The story follows two men - one who’s ashamed of his identity and another who’s hated by the people around him. Both share one thing in common: the world doesn’t treat them kindly. The movie shows the racism towards religion and caste in a brutally honest way. The film is bold with its scenes and dialogues. The silence, the little glances, the distance between the characters… it all feels painfully real. It’s tender, raw and almost uncomfortably honest at times. Ishaan and Vishal absolutely nailed that friendship duo. The rest of the cast was amazing too. Overall, it’s beautifully human. The kind of film that doesn’t shout it just quietly stays with you long after the credits roll.
