ABSOLUTE PEAK CINEMA. I don't care what people say—this k-drama is sooo good 😭😭 I'm still waiting for the next season, and I hope it's as good as the first one, or even better.

A tale of growing up. Going from innocence to understanding in a world you thought you understood. A love you thought everlasting. I really liked this, watching divorce from the perspective of a child might not be a revolutionary idea. But the youth captured by Shinji Sômai feels so nostalgic because of that personal relation, the fear that things will never be the same again, the self-condemnation, and if surrounded by a loving family, the relief that whilst things won’t be the same, different doesn’t always mean bad. I’m excited to explore more of Sômai’s works.

Someone here said it best: If "Marriage Story" is THE story about divorce between husband and wife, then "Moving" is that story told from the perspective of a child. The colors. The frames. The shots. Scenes of summer! The movie does such a wonderful job in depicting the childlike wonder and frustration of having to go through divorce without really having to talk about it. The fights are so real, the characters so wonderfully portrayed, and hunny, this was the early nineties!! By the end of the film, you're so captivated by the main characters that the character development she undergoes is absolutely breathtaking.
