best way to watch this is with friends fr bcs we’re literally just out here laughing, screaming, and being stressed at everyone’s stupidity. i dont think i would’ve given this a 3 stars if i wasn't watching it with them cause its quite disappointing, most of the time we are so lost lmao. as someone who have known the lore and watched gameplays i appreciate the easter eggs but the movie is just mostly a huh moment. it doesn’t even have enough gore, as a movie that has possessed animatronics that kills people there’s certainly not enough killing in it and we barely even see the kills on screen. the jumpscares are not jumpscaring either. we barely even see him actually survive the night at freddy’s he’s mostly asleep and at a dream state which we recognized is the minigame from the original game but still he spent most of the time asleep instead of actually surviving the night. they also set up the sequel at the end, i hope it would be better.

Quite a strange film, not so bad that it’s funny, more just strange. The story moves along at quite a slow pace and there are virtually no scares in this. Quite liked the story even though it had probably the most predictable twist and ending in all of film history. Overall it’s fine if not slightly disappointing, as somebody who grew up with the game I expected better.

Really fan service-y but it's hilarious. When the credits started playing, I was screaming in my seat. I hope the second film keeps up with the same energy, but not a 1-to-1 replica obviously. Hopefully Josh Hutcherson got some acting skills between the two because he was easily the worst part of the film. What an amazing experience. 6/10 though because main actor sucked shit and script wasn't amazing.
