Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The story is terrible. The script is terrible. Every scene with humans in is terrible. The VFX and scenes with the monsters are actually good. Such a shame. The story of that young girl being the chosen one is some of the stupidest writing I’ve ever seen. Also, how can they just teleport from one place to another? Also, why is 99% of the humans dialogue just explaining what we can see in front of us. It’s so frustrating because when the monsters are on the screen it’s a good time. Feels like wasted potential but oh well.

O mal do indivíduo que procura texto onde existe performance é não poder aproveitar esse espetáculo visual. Depois de tentar iniciar seu universo de forma mais "séria" e "sóbria" o que só criou um filme feio e cinza que esconde o monstro. Seguido de uma sequência que trouxe monstros, mas ele também escondia seus monstros filtros primários e a existência da Millie Bobby Brown também não ajudava muito. Eis que foi preciso um diretor como Wingard pra dar a essa franquia o tom certo. Chega de tentar ser sério ou mais esperto do que se esperar, em O Novo Império temos uma cruzada de Kong em busca de um lugar pra chamar de seu e Godzilla só quer ser deixado em paz. O choque narrativos dos dois monstros é tão diferente, mas ainda sim tão satisfatório quando se choca e o retorno da Rainha dos Monstros é outra coisa que agrada demais. A luva mecânica, na minha cabeça doida de fã, é um prenúncio de que um mecha Kong pode ser introduzido e eu não estou falando que eu quero, mas eu não vou achar ruim.

Tried very hard to find the 8-year-old me somewhere deep down. I think I was almost able to visualize that little dude grasping a cardboard cut-out ax and running around reenacting fight scenes, chowing down on well-earned lake monster meat... no wait, I lost it again. Quick cut to joint pain and getting dizzy when standing up too quick. More Saturday morning fare. As full on monkey-mode as this whole thing goes, it's very easy to envision the dialogue-free version of this... mm, so peaceful. No needle drops, even.
