SPOOKTOBER (https://boxd.it/zl64c) #10 Holy fuck, this remake was a wild ride. Dark, graphic, and kept me on edge the whole time. The intensity is no joke—brutal villains, tension in every moment. The revenge is just as savage, no holding back. I almost felt disappointed seeing the villain’s fate, thinking he’d get away that easily. But when that final scene hit—wow, I was totally here for it when that jerk finally got what was coming to him!

The Last House on the Left
Of the 2000s remakes this is one of the few I genuinely like. The portrayal of the assault as a tool to punish and humiliate and hurt Mari instead of for the sexual satisfaction of Krug is a very smart choice, and sidesteps the concerns of glorifying it by making sure it is truly seen as awful. Alway love Dillahunt, Goldwyn, Lindhome, and Paul and they all bring it. The microwave is awesome.
