SPOOKTOBER #25 This one’s a gore-fest for practical effects fans! They go all-in on the blood and guts, especially in the third act where things get seriously intense. The prosthetics are top-notch, but they go so overboard that it ends up goofy. Definitely one of the blooooodiest movies out there, they really didn’t hold back at all.

braindead aka dead alive in the middle of watching this on youtube (uncut version) https://youtu.be/G_FMUq50oPY what the fuck is this movie? this is the most ridiculous movie i've ever seen (not including low budger b movies) the humor isnt for me and the few serious scenes dont work at all in this. and yet the rating here on LB is 3.9 thats crazy to me.

Gee, I don’t think they used enough practical effects or fake blood in this. That last 30 mins is just pure fucking insanity in the best way. The fact that this came out the same year as Army of Darkness is wild, campy horror fans were eating good in 1992. Intrusive thought: why did we never get an Evil Dead—Braindead crossover??

Some may call the beginning of this film absurdly racist, I’d call it a good time
