Okay, it might feel a bit generic compared to Pixar’s past masterpieces, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. In fact, it’s actually quite emotional, the animation looks gorgeous, the Communiverse world-building is insanely cool (unique because a lot of the designs are inspired by sea creatures), and the characters are all lovable. Plus, the theme of “feeling out of place in your surroundings” is explored pretty well—super relatable.

Damn, the power this movie holds? 🤯🤩 this taught me a lot about life. This movie is powerful, happy, colorful and touching make me smile a lot. I also want go to other planet and met Aliens, like this exactly what other planet and aliens looks alike. I've never seen a disney movie this powerful and meaningful. Great. Remember we are not alone. (Alien always look for us).

After 2022 I have slowly stopped watching any new Disney/Pixar films because most of them seemed very uninteresting to me or seem like slop (with the live actions and sequels they keep releasing) even though I claim to myself to be such a big fan of the company in whole I can just admit that they need to stop doing whatever the hell they’re doing right now. I was never interested in watching this movie but I felt very bad that it got a pretty poor response from the box office because Disney decided not to market/advertise this much even though this is one of the only original films that they (Pixar) have made in a while with again only there being sequels and live actions. The only reason why I wanted to watch it though is for the upcoming Oscars and I was very surprised this got nominated but yknow how Disney is. I once saw a tweet of someone defending this movie and how they’re confused why it’s getting poor responses after a tweet about it getting bombed at the box office and someone replied saying “we do want original movies but nothing like this” and I just want to say this that I personally don’t think that this movie is terrible obviously I enjoyed it. I thought it was very cute but I do think that this movie shouldn’t have gotten a theatrical release almost felt like it should’ve went straight to streaming instead. Disney does know that their sequels do a lot better than their original films now (live actions as well sorta) and that’s why they keep making them and don’t even bother to market it because they’re waiting for them to start advertising Zootopia 2 and releasing teasers for the Moana live action a movie that’s only 10 years old. And that’s what they’re doing with Pixar as well, not making live action’s thank god but continuing sequels. Just don’t be shocked when Toy Story 5 makes 10x more than Hoppers.
