Big Fish

Big Fish

Truly one of the most beautiful films to exist. Makes me cry every single time I watch it. A father just telling his life story in a more colourful way. There's so many emotions to feel in this movie (especially the milkman..iykyk). Highly recommend.

Big Fish

Big Fish

My final film from Tim Burton! I'm glad I waited long to finally see this, since I really got to see Tim Burton's style. Big Fish is yet another Burton movie that isn't as Burton-esque. It has it's moments, but that's the story. Fantastical feats that seem too faux to be true. If this were in Burton-esque, I don't think it would have been as good of a film. The realism kept the film, well, realistic. It's good to see Burton making movies that aren't his "usual" style. The cast was actually really talented! I got attached to the characters, and by the end, I really felt a connection to them. This personal connection really makes this movie shine. One of Burton's least Burton-esque films, yet again, is his strongest. He needs to continue making his odd films, but it's nice to see him out of his normal comfort zone.
