Hour of the Wolf
Night 18 of 31 Nights of Halloween It’s bonkers to me that it took me nearly a decade to watch another Bergman film. Hour of the Wolf has been at the top of my “must watch” list for Bergman, and I thought it was about time I got to get another Bergman film under my belt. And good god. What a stunning film. There’s an undercurrent of electricity that runs throughout the film, which manifests itself in the finale, which felt like something that David Lynch must have been inspired by, since it oozed with his style. It’s a slow moving, methodical film, with performances that will transfix you. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was in store for with Bergman’s only horror film, and now having seen it, I wish he would have made more, since it truly is a stunning film. I’d love to be able to say more about it, but I can’t quite come up with the words to describe just how good a film this ended up being.
Hour of the Wolf
Que filme esquisito. Pessoas esquisitas, coisas esquisitas, falas e diálogos esquisitos.
