Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
She-Hulk Episode 1: Undeniably Marvels most controversial show of all time, and not for the reasons you’d expect. Sexism, and how it’s displayed in the show, is at the core of pretty much all contention. Marvel is really trying its hardest to stray away from the old tropes it got accused of and make women, POC and the LGBTQ community more at the front of the post card. I have, and see no problem with this. To be honest I don’t really see a problem with She-Hulk. The first episode wasn’t great, and even as a feminist I did feel like she talked at Bruce a bit too much about the struggles of sexism. The women literally spoke about social issues more than anything else for the few days she was there, and Bruce did nothing but just kind of sit there. It felt very fake and awkward. I can see why people like this though and it does spread awareness, but for what’s supposed to be a funny, chilled out superhero show it does feel a bit much. There isn’t really anything which gets you excited in this episode, it just kind of happens. Oh well. 2/10 Episode 2: Unbelievably I really enjoyed this episode. After what felt like a complete disaster of an opening, She-Hulk was actually enjoyable this time, with a good narrative and interesting ending. No idea where they’ll go from here, but I’m excited to find it. It wasn’t funny at all and I can safely say I didn’t laugh once, which is strange considering this is supposedly a comedy, but it was fun nether the less. 8/10 Episode 3: Well, it’s hard to describe really what I’ve just watched. I get that they got a celebrity cameo, but they mention her name so many times it’s almost comical, maybe she’s bigger in America than here in the UK, but here nobody really cares about Megan, most people probably wouldn’t know who she was. I only know her because of WAP which was everywhere a few years ago. The episode isn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be, the post credit is unbelievable levels of cringe but the MCU is very cringy. Although I don’t think this show is completely awful, it’s really not good and I’m struggling to see how anyone has laughed at all with this. I like the actress who plays she hulk and the character seems like a cool idea, just poor execution I guess. The whole thing feels like, okay, whatever, like so many other MCU projects. I wish they’d done more with this. 3/10 Episode 4: The most mid episode yet, what did I even watch? I really felt like nothing at all happened. It’s not really funny or interesting and feels like such a waste. This episode wasn’t bad, but it really wasn’t anywhere near good or enjoyable. Literally don’t even know what to say about it so I’ll leave it as this, it’s okay. 5/10 Episode 5: What on Gods earth am I watching? Absolutely awful, boring, unfunny and pointless. I can’t believe anyone on this planet enjoys watching this. The worst episode of any TV show I’ve ever seen. It’s just the show is awful. 1/10 Episode 6: It’s pretty remarkable that this manages to get worse each and every week. A completely filler episode, how fun. Unbelievably bad jokes, horrible story telling and awful writing. I don’t hate this because I was born male, I hate this because it’s bad. Very bad. Best part of the show was Mr Invincible or whatever he’s called, who really cares, three more left and it’s over! 1/10 Episode 7: People always ask for more than 6 episodes in these shows because they feel like it isn’t enough time. She Hulk is the perfect example of how more episodes can easily not work. Another filler episode. Out of the 7 episodes I’d say over half have been filler. Also, the only ‘nice guy’ in the entire show becoming a villain couldn’t be more predictable. To be fair, the therapy scene was good, and obviously Tim Roth is great, but this could’ve been so much better. 3/10 Episode 8: Unbelievably this episode was pretty decent, and no not because of Daredevil. It was much more fun and entertaining than any other episode has been this far, we see her mad for the first time which is entertaining and her lawyer career could definitely be at risk. Sure, it’s far from perfect, a lawyer who really cares for the law, destroying peoples cars left right and centre, but it’s a pretty fun episode and a decent watch. Enjoyed this one. 7/10 Episode 9: Well, this show/season definitely ended. To be completely honest I too felt like Jen at parts of this. Like seriously, the endings first half was so bad and so poorly written that she needed to ‘break out’ and speak to Kevin. Although I don’t feel like this was done in a great way either, I’m glad they didn’t just roll with a traditional ‘he’s got my blood’ ending. The best part is the post credit scene, really hope we get to see Tim Roth again. The most memorable part of the finale is by far the worst part of the entire series, and maybe the entire MCU, Hulks son reveal. When I say I laughed out loud it’s no exaggeration. What the actual fuck is that. The reveal feels not only force, but the design is absolutely horrendous. The guys face and hair look like a complete joke. I’m not kidding when I say I’ve seen better edits on twitter. People say She Hulks CGI is bad, it looks like Gods work compared to Hulks son. Why is his hair missing at the front? Did they forget to add it before release? The man is supposed to be young, how is his hairline so messed up? Why does he look so strange compared to the other Hulks? Unbelievable. The rest of the episode isn’t that bad, Daredevils return is cool and I look forward to seeing She Hulk back in a movie/show, I just hope next time it’s better written because the character and actress are both great. 3/10 Overall: Pretty bad. Feel like the MCU has been having a steady decline for some time. It’s without question that Phase 4 has been a hot mess and the worst Phase by far. I feel She Hulk had potential to be a cool, funny show, but it really wasn’t executed very well. Most episodes aren’t really funny, more just strange and the drastic tone change from episode to episode feel like you’re watching a different show each week. No matter how bad some of the middle episodes were, nothing comes close to the Hulk Son reveal. I still can’t believe that it’s real and that Marvel green lit that, but I guess it is funny to laugh at.

je me suis fait chier tout le long même si y'a quelques passages marrant, le brisage de 4e mur est enfin utile ...... au dernier épisode mais au moins la critique de fin sur le mcu est pertinente
