American Sniper
Bonjour je suis un réalisateur MAGA qui a été pris par les USA et Israël et voici mon film
American Sniper
79/100 I feel like this is an accurate depiction of PTSD, not exaggerated like in almost every other film. And Bradley Cooper’s acting, wouldn’t say deserved the Oscar but rightfully deserved a nomination. I think the film is a good tribute to the legend of Chris Kyle.
American Sniper
Not a huge fan of Hall’s writing nor Stern’s cinematography here. The dialogue almost feels fake and corny. It could also be the acting, given that this and Grand Torino (https://letterboxd.com/film/gran-torino/)showcase to me that Eastwood may not really know how to get a decent performance out of his actors. For a movie that came out in 2014, some moments just look particularly ugly, especially the whole sandstorm fight. Overall, I think it’s a story worth telling. Voluntarily leaving your wife/kids to do four tours in Iraq and claiming you’re “doing it for your country” (when you’re clearly not) is kind of crazy, but whatever. I like that it showed the family struggles of having a military spouse, but I would’ve liked to have seen more on the impacts of PTSD, especially given the nature of what sadly happened to Chris Kyle.
