Eyes Wide Shut
Crazy good film, just goes to show, everyone’s gotta bit of dawg in them. It’s fucked up, I get that, don’t get it twisted. But hey I really appreciated the part when he held the napkin tight to allow the pen to write, that was nice Kubrick, 5 stars.
Do the Right Thing
The tragedy to see that this is still the world we live in. An enthralling watch from start to finish, love the fashion from this era and the vibe in general and that’s the truth, Ruth.
Weapons
So I was eating dinner and Lucy goes ‘oh my sister has HBO Max, we can log in and use it if we want’ so I instantly throw my knife and fork down and downloaded it on the telly, log in and have a quick scroll, and boom I see ‘Weapons’. Lucy isn’t great with horrors but I managed to convince her (no peer pressure at all) to watch it as it’s been on my watch list for a while. Long story short; she didn’t like it. Multiple times she asked to turn it off for being too scared and multiple times i controlled the situation and kept it playing, like the empath i am. Shes now said if she needs a piss during the night I will have to go with her (pshhh yeah right😉 good luck waking me up for that!!!😴) Anyways, I enjoyed it, I found it fun and suspenseful, nice change of pace to the usual horror and the characters were decent; especially liked the school principal, Marcus, he was super nice and friendly throughout the film. Dinner got cold.

Hats off to the costume designer and the cinematographer; the lighting and the colour palette was on point, not a big musical film kinda guy but there’s just the right amount in this one. Plus I love jazz so that was a nice touch.

I love these types of films, where you never really know what’s going to happen next! The schematics of each individual is always so interesting. Some good ‘omg! no way.. stop it’ moments in there too. Proper film. Proper horses. Proper clouds. Scary makeup job on the Lord geezer, actually might see him in my nightmares
