That Tim Burton x Johnny Depp combo hits like an unstoppable gobstopper…  I completely understand Gene Wilder being everyone’s go to… but for me Johnny Depp is special in this…  Conveys mystery, awkwardness and at times being bonkers. I additionally think the environments are a spectacular sight to look at and showcased brilliantly.  Lastly I love the small detail of giving us a back story on Willy Wonka and just opening up that curtain with he’s relationship with he’s father.
