Daddy Day Care
Feel good movie with some shoddy CGI here and there. Gotta love the early 2000s
Daddy Day Care
78/100 Good comedies - boxd.it/caUHa (https://boxd.it/caUHa) I had such a good time watching this. In fact I laughed a lot in some moments like Eddie Murphy’s reaction to the toilet after Max just rampaged it loool. Why is he looking at the fucking roof… I’m dead. “Looks can be deceiving? We’re in a trailer park!” Nah this had me dying as well. I loved most of Eddie Murphy’s films man. It’s so refreshing to just get away from the thrillers, crime, infidelity and all sorts of serious dramas. Sometimes you just need to laugh and I laugh at these jokes, their delivery is so good. Why should we trash on these cute comedies, people need to live a little and get out of that bubble man. Baby Elle Fanning was so cute and to be honest so were all the other kids. I bet for them, it must’ve been the time of their lives, just have fun, read some lines and enjoy. Eddie Murphy absolutely abusing that rocket ship had me frustrated in the most amusing way and yeah from start to finish, it was nice to see them change get attached to these kids and get back to them. There’s so much to learn here about fatherhood, child care and just building a relationship with kids in general. Also why on Earth was that sophisticated school ran by Anjelica Huston teaching toddlers about fucking Freud? Massive red flag. I’ll have to get into more of these comedies, I miss this genre of films. We just don’t have the actors that do it anymore, Steve Zahn, Jeff Garlin and the formulaic Kevin Nealon all complement the film so well. Bring the good times back! And I already had a massive crush on Lacey Chabert. This just reaffirmed it.
