69/100 Check out my 2023 ranked - https://boxd.it/qk54W I have to be honest, it really grew on me as it went on, it got more serious and slightly darker but came to a really well played out and wholesome conclusion. Everyone’s arc was good. Anne Hathaway was the funniest (her appearing as a nun suddenly in the audience had me laughing my ass off), Marisa Tomei was surprisingly good playing a crazy stalker, she did her best to look as rugged as possible. I always love Peter Dinklage in what he makes, he’s a scene stealer both because of his appearance but also his dialogue delivery, he was just so frustrated and depressed this entire film. Evan and Harlow did their part. But Joanna Kulig is my star. She’s actually such an underrated actress, she was so good, a proper mother who cares but would do anything for her daughter. I really wish they’d hire her more often in bigger films, that accent will never go but that’s what makes so her so unique. Man she’d have been exceptional in The Americans had she been scouted back then in Hollywood. Anyway, a good film that starts off a bit rough but once it gets going, it keeps you invested. It’s got its ebbs and flows but always get to the right conclusion in the end.
