52/100 Al Pacino really went all in with that kiss huh. This film does one thing really well and that is the comedy. It’s very funny all round and almost all the one liners and gestures hit. But there is absolutely no chemistry between the two like there wasn’t any in Scarface and maybe in Scarface, it was just the plot, he was a low class Cuban who made it big and she was a money whore but here even though the personalities are supposedly opposite and he is trying his best to open her up which is why he’s being so persistent, there just isn’t that connection between them. Quite a dull film, this might be the first rom-com where I liked the supporting cast more than the leads and their storyline.

Kind and sweet, even if some of it has aged poorly. Would love to see an Al & Michelle film again, their chemistry is so good.
