Look, I wanted to like this. I really, really did. I went into this thinking that there was no way this should've been a career-ending film, with all the good work that Joseph Gordon Levitt has put out, it just shouldn't have been. But holy shit, this movie sucks butt. I will say that the parts of this film that were straight-up egregious were far outnumbered by the parts that were just boring. It's not funny enough to be a comedy and none of the characters are likeable enough for it to be a compelling romance. It’s just nothing. But because I do still love Joseph, we're not going to discuss the accents. 👩🏾‍🦯 Scarlett Johansson's performance carries the first part of this film, but unfortunately even that couldn't completely distract from this heinous script. Good lord. Gotta rewatch 500 days to get the taste of this out of my mouth.
