The Prom

What a fool I would have been to have waited to watch this like I had originally planned. The Prom has an all-star cast with all-star songs and a plot that pulls the heartstrings. It’s a shame that I hadn’t listened to this earlier, since I really enjoyed the songs and the plot really resonated with me. It’s a show that has a lot of heart, which translated perfectly over to the screen. They did a great job casting this film (though James Corden 100% should have been recast, his performance was fine, but we honestly need a queer person to play a queer character in a queer show, it shouldn’t be that hard to find someone who is LGBT to be in a musical), which created a fantastic chemistry that gave the film a lot of charm. I honestly cannot wait to continue to listen to this show even more(and it will be the Broadway version, gotta give props to the original!) and I can easily see this film being added to my comfort film
