Será que realmente esses tipos de testes fazem sentido? As pessoas ficam obcecadas em saber se realmente nasceram umas para as outras. Só pela parte da unha eu tenho certeza que eu não conseguiria fazer.

Feels like it just really gets going as it ends. Buckley is, per usual, fantastic. I have to say I'm loving the soft sci-fi genre, especially when it talks about really common topics. Just like Fingernails does. Throughout the movie, I was very engaged by the way they described love or how people got carried away by the result they got in the test, which also speaks volumes about some subjects also discussed there. In a very creative storyline, there was a real and sweet discussion about whether love can be quantified or identified in a scientific way, where the perspective leads us to think not. Science isn't capable of understanding so deeply something which happens in such a subtle and yet overwhelming way. When Anna says "Sometimes being in love is being more alone than when you're lonely", that's when the movie hits the nail on the head (if you'll excuse a word joke): passion, love and feelings are incomprehensible. They just happen and we often let ourselves be carried away by them. Fingernails also discusses relationships, how they need maintenance to continue and how some people just choose to accommodate. Human beings will always prefer to have someone tell them something rather than analyze it for themselves. The idea of let a test decide wether you're in love or not, for example, and make all your life choices from that. Really interesting to see. In addition, Jessie Buckley and Riz Ahmed do an excellent job of showing the small, subtle signs of the beginning of passion. Sometimes I felt like I was getting in the way of the couple in those little moments which may sound silly, but are tender. In short, I was truly amazed.
