I was immensely surprised by how devastating this film is. This film metamorphizes from sweaty, sexy summer flick to deranged tragedy so seamlessly. I didn't expect to feel as moved by Mr. Ripley as I was, but I'm glad for it. I'll be thinking about the final scene of this film for a long, long time.
