CODA
“you’re so afraid that we’d look stupid. let them figure out how to deal with deaf people” this is the line that struck me the most because it’s true, ruby wants to keep protecting her family and she has the right to do so but it also brought her burden and she couldn’t live her own life because of it. but it also asks us the question “why do people with disabilities always have to adjust for the people around them?” like why is it always them trying to make an effort for people to understand them and not the other way around? the scene where ruby started signing for her family at her auditions made me bawl my eyes out, it was so beautiful and so heartwarming. this film is an eye-opener to all the struggles deaf people have to deal with everyday and i’m so glad that they even got deaf actors to do this movie. im just in awe with how beautiful this movie turned out, im definitely rooting for them to bag that best picture win.

Really improved as it goes, CODA is an entertaining time. Sure, it’s not the greatest picture this year (looking at you academy awards) but it’s by no means by and a pretty meh best picture winner. I did enjoy it, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t see how this best Power of the Dog. The performances are pretty great, especially Emilia Jones as Ruby, and her Dad, Troy Kotsur. Also, shout out to her music teacher, Eugenio Derbez, who is a fantastic actor and also plays a very good character.
CODA
This movie is touching my heart until melting like a hot chocolate, it's so sweet and warming, and it's also make me crying because it's so good. This movie reminds me with Bori (https://boxd.it/lpIe) because it's kinda same, but this was warmer, oh my god i can't forget the scene she's singing.
