What a cinematic experience! The visuals are rich in color and energy, setting the perfect tone for its magical atmosphere. The music is delightfully catchy, maintaining energy throughout, and the costumes are stunning. Ariana brings her cheerful, heartfelt character to life in a way that made me smile the entire time. Cynthia Erivo also shines with a deeply caring and memorable performance. i really wish i enjoyed this more, its just too long and i think there are just some scenes that are a bit unnecessary like the one with idina and kristin, dont get me wrong i still jumped and cheered but a cute little easter egg would’ve suffice or like them being wives with a kid going around emerald city during one short day but thats just me. the best parts to me are definitely the musical performances but theres just too little of it in a 2hrs and 40 minutes movie like i needed more? and not to be that person who brings up abt this being a two parter but it shouldn’t have been a two parter, i would’ve definitely loved it more if its just a one and done. i also have an issue with defying gravity not being a whole song in this movie, its like every verse have a long interval, like they build it up and it suddenly stops & it feels like i was being edged but its giving me no fun nor pleasure (courtesy of danaë) and it annoyed me so much, im sorry. cynthia’s performance was incredible though like wow shes so talented and ariana on the other hand, her musical performances are really good but some of her delivery seems a bit dull to me. michelle as madame morrible is pretty great too, i like her subtle acting  but singing wise she just isnt fit for it. and lastly, jonathan oh the charmer that he is, his chemistry with cynthia is too good, i wished as long as your mine is in it too. speaking more of the chemistry cynthia and ariana as elphaba and glinda showed great chemistry too like the gelphie agenda is just too strong too, that scene from the ball where they were dancing with elphie crying oh i cried god.  in conclusion i still had fun, i wish it was better, elphaba i love you so much, and jon m chu you will always be public enemy #1!
