Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Every time I watch this, I appreciate it more and more. To me, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is more than just a silly meta-comedy, it's also the textbook definition of a feel-good movie. It's riddled with likable characters, a fun story, and sometimes inspirational moments that come out of nowhere. Ferris has this charismatic aura about him and you can see why it's hard for the people around him to dislike him. He has unorthodox ways of getting Cameron to step out of his comfort zone and to feel better throughout the day, but to say that he is inconsiderate is the furthest thing from the truth. Cameron has this bleak and miserable outlook on life that Ferris works so hard to help him with and seeing that dedication from him is incredibly admirable. The duality between the two makes the film as spectacular as it is. However, Ferris Bueller's Day Off sometimes isn't about Ferris, Cameron, and Salone because sometimes we see glimpses of Rooney, Jeanie, and Mr. Bueller and their journeys throughout the movie that are just as enjoyable. The last 10 minutes is the most satisfying part of the movie because everything previously set up all comes together for the most tense and chaotic sequence of the film. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is an incredible accomplishment in cinema that I will never forget. As I log this film, I have it in my top 10 films of all time.
