Am I chomping at the bit to rewatch or recommend this? No. It is a skill for a film to have so much going on, such loud overlapping voices and busyness and STILL be boring. Silver lining playbook achieved that, brava.

95/100 Oh man, how good was that!  I kept putting it off because I thought it’s some sort of dark drama cuz I knew it was about infidelity and craziness and what not.  But hats off to the scriptwriter and of course to the writer of the novel for creating such a funny, heartfelt and honestly very realistic masterpiece. It is a masterpiece in rom-coms for sure.  The chemistry between Bradley Cooper is funny, sexy and so hypnotising at times, you just wanna keep on watching them together and because they are bipolar, you actually are excited to see what happens.  I loved this film. Maybe it’s a 9 but for now it’s a 10 from me. And it’s one of the rare films that I’d like to rewatch immediately and that is special. Also, Bradley Cooper deserved that Oscar over DDL. DDL’s performance had absolutely no range and albeit it was great, I felt they gave it to him on the more emotional and historical aspect of things rather than purely based off performance. And Robert De Niro was fan-fuckin-tastic.
