O saudosismo nesse filme é retratado de uma forma tão intensa e, de certa forma, cotidiana, que se torna difícil não se identificar. No geral, a obra como um todo me pegou de surpresa, em destaque a direção e a fotografia, já que muitas das cenas são lindas e, principalmente, únicas.

AND THEN WE DANCED is obsessed with intimacy. Furtive glances that drink in another person in secret. Physical touches given to convey everything you need to say, but can’t. Dancing to express the desire, the passion, and the yearning you feel. While the broad strokes feel familiar, how the story and Merab are written feels so much more sincere and the emotional payoff is more fulfilling because of it. Particularly with regards to the relationship between Merab and his brother. Also, whoever decided to have a dance scene set to a Robyn trackto express desire…I know what you are.
