Great acting and a very interesting plot, this was great. The story revolves around Cary Grant, who plays Roger, trying to escape some men who want him dead. He also has to go on the run when he gets framed. The worst part is the very long run time.

Revisited on a whim. One fun moment is when Mason's villain has grown weary of Grant's supposed spy craft and states, "Seems to me you fellows could stand a little less training from the F.B.I. and a little more from the Actor's Studio", and actual Actor's Studio alumni Eva Marie Saint and Martin Landau are sitting right there; her withering in desperation, and him intensely observing with henchman/lover eyes.

North by Northwest truly captivated me with its blend of suspense, humor, and stylish adventure. The story is cleverly constructed, and Cary Grant plays the charming, reluctant hero with great class. The famous airplane scene and the finale at Mount Rushmore are real highlights. Hitchcock knows how to continually build tension without making the film feel too heavy. It's a timeless thriller that's a lot of fun.
