Tarot
so, this movie is bad. the acting is bad, the dialogue is bad, the story overall is lacking a bit but.... it had some good scares and creepy moments and i think this would be an ok into to horror movie for tweens. when i was a preteen Darkness Falls came out and it scared me and i loved it. as an adult rewatching i can admit it's kinda mid but the scares and creepiness are still solid. i can see this movie being Darkness Falls for some tweens today. it's creepy, the kills aren't too bloody, it will definitely scare kids looking to be scared.

kind of a shame the musical in this isnt real. you know i have wanted to see this movie since it came out and never once did i assume the monster was a figment of her imagination until he showed up. really a letdown tbh. i thought this would be like Warm Bodies and Lisa Frankenstein. its good just not what i wanted it to be. Melissa did a great job obviously.

Schindler's List
we watched a good chunk of Schindler’s List in high school but i didnt really remember much except for the ending where the real life survivors laid rocks on his gravestone. I really have no words except to say that everything that happened to those innocent people pisses me off and may all the victims rest in peace.
Shelby Oaks
this movie is fine, i'd say for the most part i did like it but it could have been better, though for a first film, its not too bad. my biggest issue is the switch from found footage mockumentary to narrative film. i think, for this movie, it doesnt work. the found footage mockumentary it started out as was more compelling, to me thats what hurt it and i think it should have just been a narrative film from the beginning since they werent gonna go all in with FF. there were good jumpscares, it was creepy and scary.
Godzilla vs. Biollante
didnt know this was a sequel when i put it on, watched it anyway. didnt expect Godzilla vs a giant plant with the spirit of a dead woman.

Tarantula
you know how in Jaws you dont see much of 'jaws' but its still exciting? this is the opposite of that. near the end, the main guy gets out of car to tell the police they have to turn around as the giant tarantula starts to comes over the hill, so what does the main girl do? gets out of the car and runs to main guy. me (paraphrased as i was frustrated by this dumb choice): "why would she get out of the car just to run to the guy when they need to get into the car and drive away?" my mom:" what color is she?" me: "white" my mom: "there's your answer"
