Well, this was bad. The Marsh girl who has perfect hair and skin yet grew up swimming in Lakes and couldn’t read or write till she was in her 20s. Story makes no scene. The scene where they’re laying by the marsh about to have sex and the guys like ‘oh no I don’t want to now’ but provides no reason as to why he doesn’t want to is so stupid. The story is also very boring and drawn out. Maybe I didn’t like it because I haven’t read the book but yeah I got little enjoyment out of this. The only bit that I did think was good was how it ended.

a melodramtic crime drama that feels like it's something you'd have come across flipping through the channels in the mid00s. if the book/film had been adapted by a director with a distinct vision, then perhaps i could see it being salvaged. good t-swift song tho. (also, as a former bookseller i hate this book – it took up all the fucking shelf space for two years.)
