the moment he said he’s into taxidermy i knew it was a red flag 😭 i honestly didnt know anything abt this movie other than the shower scene and that its a horror classic and i get it now. i had so much fun with this especially with the way they keep misleading that he wasn’t the killer when it really is him from the very beginning bcs i actually thought it was his mom, boy moms are very weird after all lol. also ofc the police here are still useless

Psycho

Hitchcock is peak. A MASTERPIECE. --------------------------------------------------------------- English: What a way to build tension and suspense... My hands are shaking from so much adrenaline and emotion... Hitchcock is a genius at creating those unsettling atmospheres that don’t let you go, even after the movie ends. I'm totally convinced of that. I already felt it with Vertigo and Rear Window, but Psycho is something else. It's amazing because it hooks you from start to finish—and to think I once believed it wouldn't be that good, wtf. I'm literally shaking and my hands are sweaty, that feeling you only get when you've just seen something incredible. It was so intense, I feel stoned, like it was some kind of drug. The music complements the story and the beautiful cinematography perfectly. I loved the plot twist. And to think this came out in 1960… I loved everything. The dialogue keeps you intrigued, and the acting was so impressive I felt every moment. God, Hitchcock’s twists always catch you off guard, because they’re revealed so naturally and progressively. That whole explanation at the end was excellent. He's one of my favorite directors; the way he uses the camera is just amazing. The shower scene is iconic I recognized it right away, that eerie shadow behind the curtain... God. Definitely, I loved it, it shocked me, it had me on edge from the beginning. I need to watch Rope and more of his work. I’m literally sweating. Chilling. Somehow he always impresses me, but this time it was darker and more terrifying— like a quiet terror that gives you anxiety, as if someone’s watching you. That’s the feeling Hitchcock’s direction creates; he manipulates you with the camera to persuade and dazzle your mind with every ending. Hitchcock is peak. PS: It left my pupils dilated LMAO. A MASTERPIECE.

Psycho

A timeless masterpiece, featuring killer performances, beautiful shots and a pronominal score. Everything about this is perfect and I’d give this film 100/100. Not a lot more to say really, one of the greatest movies ever made.

Psycho
