Diary Entry forBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever
i honestly don’t know what to say but wow, this is just such a beautiful story about grief and how it affects a person and the people around them. the movie follows shuri’s journey of grief and the acceptance of her brother’s (and mother’s) death. a journey where it took her to the point of vengeance, to a war, to realization, into just finally letting herself grieve, and feel, and think about her brother and mother. that last scene where she finally did queen ramonda’s ritual of burning the clothes she wore from t’challa and ramonda’s wake had me sobbing because it meant that she’s moving on or she’s finally trying to move on like what her mother wanted her to do. letitia wright conveyed every emotion that is needed in the movie, she was amazing. tenoch huerta as namor was incredible, i don't think there’s enough words to describe how amazing his performance was. namor as character is amazing too, he’s complicated in a way that there would be a lot of instances where you would root for him and a lot of times you won’t. just like in the first movie it showed us that there’s simply black or white, there’s always going to be that gray area. namor and ramonda’s motivation are the same and its always going to be about protecting their people, and how i wish they were able to just work it out. despite everything you would understand where namor is coming from, you would sympathize with him, and i truly think he’s such a well written character thank god for ryan coogler. that however will not make me forgive him for killing ramonda. speaking of queen ramonda, angela basset once again proves why she’s one of the most respected actress in hollywood, give her all the damn academy awards. every scene she’s in is so powerful, she commands everyone to give her all the attention and when there are scenes that are emotional, it is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. you can just never go wrong with angela basset, she will give her all and you can feel it. oh how much i will miss her. this movie is packed with female leads and all of them did what they had to do, they were all incredible. okoye is always so funny, deep, wise, and just loyal to everyone she cares for. that scene in the throne room where she lost her position as a general and her begging queen ramonda to not take that away was so heartbreaking, danai and angela’s acting were fucking incredible how i wish i was in that room. then there’s nakia who’s just so strong, smart, so beautiful, and literally just everything, her and okoye need their own series, you could literally milk so much from both of their journeys most especially with that credit scene of her and t’challa actually having a child together like i gasped so loud its insane. there’s also aneka and ayo who i thank god they actually made lovers, aneka kissing ayo’s forehead and ayo calling her my love is everything to me i actually teared up and i know that isn’t a lot and there’s so much more work to do when it comes to marvel telling lgbtq+ stories but i take it and im very thankful for that very short but sweet scene. not only that but they are such great warriors too, i also need to see more of them by giving them their own series. lastly, riri williams who’s such a good addition to this already huge ensemble, she brings so much light and warmth in her character and she works so well with shuri. kamala and her would be really great friends, please make them meet. and i cant wait to see her in ironheart. it is also worth to say that everything that happened in the film is white people’s fault because none of the things that happened in the film would’ve happened if they just mind their business but no they have to be greedy, namor is so right for killing those people. anyway, as a whole this film is truly just beautiful, its a masterpiece, from the cinematography, to the acting, the editing, the score, the story, the action sequences, the characters, the costumes, the production design, its all just so perfect. additionally, what i love most about this movie is when there’s scenes where its just the actors acting, where there’s no score playing in the background, it’s just them, their lines, and their emotions and my god was it so beautiful. just like what gwyneth paltrow used to say “I laughed. I cried, a number of times. I sweat, I danced. I got a shot, I ate and I had many epiphanies.” ryan coogler you did it again.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Some parts very good, some parts just okay. Very good tribute to Chadwick Boseman, RIP, but I feel like the film itself could’ve been so much more. The villain is good, and the villain army could’ve easy wiped Wakanda off the map. They’ve very overpowered and I think they’ll easy be a dominant force in the MCU going forward. The middle of the film drags quite badly bad though and Shuri becoming black panther happens a bit too fast. The post credit scene with T'Challa junior is very cool though. 4DX 3D at Cineworld was very cool and 100% worth the money.
