The Theory of Everything
it's very hard to watch a movie like this, this movie makes me feel mixed feelings, between sad, annoyed, proud. Huft.. I don't know how to describe this biopic movies, anyway RIP Stephen Hawking.
The Theory of Everything
i started watching it with rather romantic expectations; i knew it had something to do with Stephen, but i hadnt imagined it would revolve entirely around him. that meant my expectations were higher than they perhaps should have been. the film isnt bad: at the start, it manages to create a genuine connection with the characters and a certain fondness for them. but as it goes on, too much starts happening, and that build-up ends up working against it. by the end, i found i wasnt as connected as id been at the start, and all that affection id built up deflated quite a bit.
The Theory of Everything
❝There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there is hope.❞ · · ───── ⊹⊱∆⊰⊹ ───── · · Told from the perspective of Jane Hawking, three decades of Stephen's personal life are laid out, showing the progression of his illness and the effects it had on the people around him. Eddie Redmayne shines as Stephen, first capturing the viewer with a seemingly naive brilliance which is quickly replaced by the replication of minute mannerisms that seal the deal; in my opinion, his Oscar is highly deserved. Felicity Jones also excels in her role, bringing a loud stoicism to Jane's life managing her family and taking care of her husband. Accompanying the excellent performances are beautiful visuals and a melancholic soundtrack, which serve to add a layer of warmth to the otherwise saddening plot. Someone hoping to know more about Hawking's scientific work will be severely disappointed by this film, but if you want to learn about the man behind the fame and the woman at his side, give it a watch.
The Theory of Everything
A Beautiful Mind con ALS en lugar de esquizofrenia. Y el papel principal es más demandante. Igual me puso a pensar...
