Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Thanks for pausing a few moments longer on those spacescapes and landscapes so I can actually look at 'em.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Finished up Andor proper so returning a final time for the narrative closure. (And tonal whiplash!) Even the spectacle is starting to dim, but at least it blew open the door for the years-long-acid-in-the-belly-of-Mon-Mothma reckoning that was to come.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Point-at-the-reference-on-the-screen kinda' movie and goddamnit why am I still tearing up by the end of it. I can say I've left Star Wars behind... but have I truly forsaken the rebellion and its sacrifices? Signs point to not quite. And this in spite of what they did to Peter Cushing, surely among the Great Sins of the franchise. You know, concurrently sliding through a RE-WATCH of Andor (as total non-fans do, ofc) has called attention to some distant itch, and I am wondering if the irritant in question relates to some of the old SW books I last looked through 25 years ago. That more intimate, powerful, and powerfully *weird* material, from a time where Disney's world-gobbling wasn't even a remote factor. In any event, caught up in the spectacle of Rogue One's back half if nothing else. Flipping my two nickles now for Donnie Yen playing blind badasses.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Nunca imaginé que me iba a gustar tanto algo de star wars en la que no salieran chorrocientas espaditas de colores por segundo
