Girls Trip

While it may not be the side-splitting film customers made this film out to be, Girls Tripstill is a decent comedy, despite it being one of the most sexual comedies I’ve seen recently. For the most part, comedies usually are misses for me, as they rely too heavily on sex jokes, rather than trying to really make you laugh. This seems to have been working, since a majority of the comedies being released like this are making money, but Girls Trip is the rare exception where I can actually bear through the jokes, even if they aren’t the funniest out there. The main cast have such great chemistry, making it really feel as if this is s reunion of great friends, rather than a simple film. It does have many points that are funny, but there is an equal amount of parts that are awkward or uncomfortable, something that really surprises me that the older audiences seemed to enjoy. This is still a funny film with a great cast that relies on the all too used sex jokes to keep the film going, but at least the jokes are bearable here.

Amen.❞ ❝Today is the last day that we will ever be this young.❞ · · ───── ·⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆· ───── · · A fun and highly entertaining film, Girls Trip features some terrific actors as part of its cast as well as a messy plot and characters. I absolutely love Queen Latifah, and I liked a lot of the comedy and interactions between the main four. The film did start feeling a little long around two-thirds of the way through, but the ending was very rushed, in my opinion, and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it'd be. With that being said, it was still a great film, and I had a lot of fun watching it; I'm excited to see where the sequel takes the Flossy Posse.
