“gusto ko sana lumakas pa ako para marami akong benta at habang marami akong benta, masaya ang customer ko, masaya na rin ako. yun ang habol ko, masaya sila” its so bittersweet to watch this knowing that mang greg had now passed. thank you mang greg for keeping physical media alive. i wish i was able to visit your store while you’re still with us, rest in peace mang greg.

The movie itself was not my cup of tea, because it follows some of the most cliched documentary conventions - talking heads over somewhat loud sentimental music interspersed with B-roll footage with even louder sentimental music. However, the topic of physical media, old, dusty, crammed stores, and their dedicated owners is something close to my heart. Not only should these places be preserved on film, but I think that we should do whatever we can to save them from disappearing. They are crucial for the creation of friendships, and even subcultures in different ways than the Internet or the new hipstery physical media spaces.
