grief is a hard concept to grasp most especially when you’re a child who had lost their parents at their developmental stage and this film perfectly depicts that. the panic attacks, the need to isolate yourself from the rest of the world, blaming yourself, and desperately finding closure was shown so well in this movie. adding to that the colors, the animation, and the stylistic ways this was filmed and edited blew me away. stop motion movies are truly a gift to cinema. i just wished netflix we’re promoting this more but what can i expect from them.
