“the war’s over. we’ll enter that sweet period where everyone agreed not to repeat the recent horrors. of course, we’re fickle, stupid beings, with poor memories and a great gift for self-destruction. although who knows? maybe this time, we’ll learn” there’s so many lines from the whole movie that stuck with me most especially the last 10-15 minutes of the movie but this one hits the most because it’s true like no matter how much we say “we must learn from our history, so we shall never repeat it”, we do repeat it and we never learn. most especially the ones in power and privilege, as long as it does not directly affect them they’ll be the oppressors and they will keep on oppressing while doing it in the name of “never again”. anyway this movie made me feel so many emotions all at once but at the end of it all we have katniss and peeta building and creating their family and finally at peace and that’s all i ever wanted. however, finnick deserves to be with annie and his son. and haymitch and effie are parents.
