gorgeous animation and soundtrack! honestly more religious stories and myths should be adapted in 2D animation like this.

Holy moly better than the other one in almost every way. Still bullshit, but these princes of Egypt feel like they have an actual goddamn heart beating inside the both of them. Love the art, love the score. Quite a transitional time for animation as a whole, as 2D and 3D shared the screen more and more in exciting new ways. Continues to sit comfortably at or near the top of the Dreamworks pile, for me at least. (Side anecdote: back in my fundamentalist church days this one was generally well received but there was always a point made about its *ahem* issues and the liberties it takes. That the oft-shown '56 tale never drew even a whiff of the same critical treatment says quite a lot.)
