Forrest Gump

I’ve seen this film far to many times at this point and I don’t plan on watching it again for years to come. I get the hate, there is a lot wrong with the fundamentals of this movie, but at the end of the day it’s a fun time with clever ties to real world events. The character of Jenny seems to be widely misunderstood, she’s far from perfect but most of what she does is because she’s a victim and challenges society. The only horrible thing she did was get pregnant with Gumps baby, not tell him, run away from home, have said baby and then suddenly tell Gump years later she had his child. That’s not just mean, it’s borderline disgusting, especially as Gump has special needs. The film has some good moments but does drag after several watched over time. Not the best but still, a good movie.
