i will say i preferred the original version better than this one. lily-rose depp's performance was phenomenal and the costumes were really great. bill skarsgård is always so good at playing freaks. willem dafoe nevers gives a bad performance and is always very fun to watch. the score elevated the scenes where it was needed. but overall, i think it lacked something, couldn't tell you exactly what, but it wasn't as mesmerizing to watch as the 1922 version.
