i know its not the point of the film and not what im supposed to take away from the film but my god toni colette is so fucking gorgeous in this film, every time shes on my screen its like everything in the world stops and i cant stop saying ‘shes so beautiful’. but in all seriousness i really liked this one, i didn’t know abt the twist so i was still pleasantly shocked bcs its not the twist i was expecting, bcs i was thinking oh maybe his mom’s dead or something along that. the moment i realized malcolm was dead is right at the same time malcolm figured it out and then everything just made sense like ofc hes dead! i also really love that scene between cole and his mom at the car, i cried. incredibly acted from everyone as well especially to haley joel osment.

Really enjoyed this. Clever, intriguing and unique, there's lots to love here. Haley Joel Osment is probably the best child actor I have seen. The ending is truly great, I wont spoil it, but if anyone says they saw it coming they're a liar and cannot be trusted.

Deus sabe como eu tenho uma relação de amor e ódio com Shyamalan, mais amor felizmente, O Sexto Sentido é o filme que crava sua estréia e seu prestígio, mas não é o filme de sua carreira, é o filme que dá holofote a ela e demonstra como o diretor domina bem elementos do suspense, mas principalmente do drama. É bizarro como esse filme é lembrado pelo terror, mas muitas pessoas apagam o drama de sua síntese. Antes de ser um terror frontal que tem jumpscares e um terror gráfico acentuado, o drama da personagem de Toni Collette e Haley Joel Osment guiam o peso psicológico e físico do terror que toma a tela na sehunda metade. Esse é um filme de duas etapas, o encontro do personagem de Bruce Willis com a criança e o atentado contra sua vida criam esse cenário de um drama analítico, mas conforme a obra avança e o terror metasifico ganha forca na frontalidade... É onde Shyamalan nos fisga e não larga mais. A cena de Cole falando que vê gente morta e o fato de que passamos a ver seu ponto de vista daí em diante o diretor te pega pela mão e o elemento fantástico ganha todo o espaço, mas sem perder as nuances dramáticas que se conclui sendo um momento de conciliação entre mãe e filho. Só queria destacar como Toni Collette sempre foi uma baita atriz dramática e a química dela com Haley Joel Osment é hipnotizante e extremamente cativante, se você não se emocionou com a cena da conversa no carro... Você está morte e só não sabe ainda.
