Had no idea this would employ the classic "hero from another dimension dropped into present day" trope—and in this case, it's the Dolph Lundgren vehicle He-Man and his friends walking the desolate streets of nightime Los Angeles in search of a Japanese synthesizer. Fast, zippy, and soulless superhero entertainment! I hope they sold a shit ton of toys when this came out because some of those kids could have made a better story in their bedroom than this. Still, I had a fun time with how laughable it is at times—my favorite moment being He-Man gliding effortlessly on a levitating roomba while in a weird sitting pose. That's cinema, baby.
