American Pie 2
"American Pie 2", released just 2 years after it's predecessor, takes what worked in the first movie and improves on it with triple the budget, resulting in a slicker and more polished film than what the series initially had to offer. Visually, it's an upgrade and the movie's soundtrack is an obvious highlight of the best of what the 2000s had to offer with songs by blink-182, American Hi-Fi, Weezer, Michelle Branch, New Found Glory, Sum 41, Green Day and more. In terms of comedy, the highs are much higher, but the lows are practically in the gutter. The shining star this time around is "Stifler", played brilliantly by Seann William Scott. He steals practically every scene he's in, and it's clear he revels in playing a total asshole. Unfortunately, the pacing isn't as tight as it could be. The film briefly veers into softcore porno territory for a bit that stretches on for way too long and throws off the flow. This, coupled with relationships that develop too quickly to feel fully earned, makes the pacing feel really off. The bond between the boys is still a big highlight, but the main romance definitely needed more time in the oven! Still, "American Pie 2" overall manages to outshine the first in overall enjoyment, so there is that at least.
American Pie 2
To me , this was really enjoyable and felt good at the end. The bond shown between the couple and those 4 friends were shown really nicely with a good message. Also , the comedy from previous part has been carried on. The lesbian scene , super glue scene and many other were really funny. The movie keeps you engaged , gives funs and makes you feel good with it.

American Pie 2
it’s a bit insane how much joy this movie brings me. it was also so formative for me back in the day, when it probably shouldn’t have been but whatever! it’s fun as hell and so very nostalgic. the entire vibe is…so 00s is hurts in a good way. that decade was such a fun time to come of age in. movies like this and cheaper by the dozen, etc, always remind me of that. aside from dial up of course, that was just hell. (also, house parties in college were actually like the ones here, so 1 star for setting reasonable expectations for pre-teen me)
