Comencé viendo esta película en su idioma original, pensando que mi desconocimiento del francés no sería un impedimento, pero fue un error. Tuve que reiniciarla a mitad de camino para poder comprenderla completamente. As a thriller, it fascinates me. But as a social critique with a more "political" message... it doesn't convince me at all. Although the film attempts to deliver a message about xenophobia and violence as a form of power, I feel that it is only superficially addressed, as if it got caught up in stereotypes and lost its way in the critique. The cinematography and direction by Rodrigo Sorogoyen are remarkable, as they immerse us so naturally, which is quite disturbing, in the situation the protagonists face.

Rodrigo Sorogoyen exprime un thriller rural con mezclas de western remoto donde la ley y el orden es inexistente y la injusticia legal es tan realista que preocupa. El balance de tensión se traduce al prologo de Bastardos sin gloria casualmente interpretado por Denis Menochet que aquí hace un enorme trabajo donde la rectitud y bondad del ser humano es callado por la moneda del mas vivo y troglodita del pueblo.
