A History of Violence
First hour is great, top tier, but the last half hour really let this down for me. How in the world did he manage to kill them all? It was so silly and made the whole think feel goofy. Also, William Hurt didn’t fit the role of mob boss at all, he was so awkward and silly. Really took me out of the immersion. A shame because this had some absolutely fantastic moments and all the rest of the cast killed it.

a 90 minute movie and felt like 20 minutes. Short length but has so much packed in. Viggo very sexy. It should have been included in the Top 100 best movies of the 21st century.

I think it lost a bit of steam in the third act but I really like all of the characters and the fights are really well done, definitely will be getting the Criterion 4K. Viggo Mortensen was awesome, reminded me of Woody Harrelson a bit. 7.5/10
